Manchester City will go for another double over Manchester United this season.

In this post I am going to attempt a summary of the 2019-20 English and European football (soccer) schedule. I will update it as more information comes in, particularly in June when the Premier League and Football League fixtures are announced.

(Updated June 21, 2019 with Premier League Football League dates now mostly official.)

This is all now as official as it can be, except for the EFL / League / Carabao Cup, which simply refuses to announce anything beyond Round One.

Otherwise, all the general dates are set, and now we just have to wait for the TV change dates.

When Do TV Networks (And the Europa League) Change Games?

The Premier League Trophy spent the 2018-19 season in Manchester.

Included here:

  • International breaks, which are official from FIFA
  • Round dates from the Champions League and Europa League, official from UEFA. I’ll start with group stages.
  • FA Cup and Carabao (EFL) Cup dates — best I can guess for now on the EFL Cup. God forbid the Football League plan ahead and make announcements. But the FA Cup dates are official.
  • Mid-week Premier League and Football League fixtures — official

A Key:

  • w/o = “Week of.” Date listed is the Monday.
  • “Mid-week” for league games almost always means Tuesday and/or Wednesday
  • Champions League games up until the Final are always Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Europa League games up until the Final are always Thursday
  • Football League = Championship, League One, League Two
  • For Cup rounds, given date is Saturday but games will be Friday to Monday

If you don’t see a weekend listed here, assume all the leagues are playing.
