The Etihad before the Manchester City vs Liverpool game.

In this post I am going to attempt a summary of the 2019-20 English and European football (soccer) schedule. I will update it as more information comes in, particularly in June when the Premier League and Football League fixtures are announced.

(Updated April 30, 2019)

Some of this is an educated guess and subject to change. I do my best! I will mark what we know for sure.

The Premier League fixtures are announced June 13, and the Football League fixtures on June 20. and then throughout the season, the TV networks will change them!

The Premier League Trophy spent the 2018-19 season in Manchester.

Included here:

  • International breaks, which are official from FIFA
  • Round dates from the Champions League and Europa League, official from UEFA. I’ll start with group stages.
  • FA Cup and Carabao (EFL) Cup dates — best I can guess for now. God forbid the FA or Football League plan ahead and make announcements.
  • Mid-week Premier League and Championship fixtures — again, best I can guess for now.

A Key:

  • w/o = “Week of.” Date listed is the Monday.
  • “Mid-week” for league games almost always means Tuesday and/or Wednesday
  • Champions League games up until the Final are always Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Europa League games up until the Final are always Thursday
  • Football League = Championship, League One, League Two
  • For Cup rounds, given date is Saturday but games will be Friday to Monday

If you don’t see a weekend listed here, assume all the leagues are playing.
