The 2019-20 edition of my book, The Groundhopper’s Guide to Soccer in England, is headed for the printer this week. But what’s in it? Read on to find out.

I call it a “travel and cultural guide” to the game in England. I don’t write about who’s going to win the league or which players are moving around; I write about the clubs themselves, the stadiums, the supporters, the songs, and the pubs.

The book should be available online by August 15, but you can pre-order a signed copy straight from me here:

Pre-Order the 2019-20 Groundhopper’s Guide to Soccer in England Today!

For this edition, I have a profile of all 20 clubs in the Premier League for the 2019-20 season, and 22 of the 24 clubs in the Football League Championship. And yes, I’ve been to all of those! I never write about a club unless I have attended a game there, and to date I have seen 103 games at 64 different grounds.
