The 2019-20 edition of my English soccer guidebook, The Groundhopper’s Guide to Soccer in England, is now available on my site and elsewhere. And that’s one reason my blog and newsletter have been close to silent lately.
Since the last edition and post, I have received hundreds of books from the printer, mailed them all out, ordered some more, shepherded my first-ever Kindle edition into the world, processed more than 100 ticket and hospitality orders, helped dozens of people go to games in August, all the while trying to keep up with my day job and occasionally going out for a walk or something. It’s been a month, as they say.
I have sent books to a couple dozen states as well as to Canada, England, Malaysia, Australia, Ireland, Bermuda and Sweden! I am pretty sure that makes mine the best-selling English soccer guidebook in all of those countries.
So here’s what it looks like when the books come in and go out. In other words, let’s take a little “behind the scenes” trip to the headquarters of Groundhopper Soccer Guides!
And of course there’s the “intellectual” side of things.
If you’ve managed to read this far, I’d like to offer you a little present: 25% off a book order. Just use coupon code “scenes” by the end of September at this page.
